Demetria Obilor is a nationally-recognized, television personality, journalist and actress who works on-air at REVOLT TV, where she hosts "Stopping Traffic with Demetria Obilor" (launching this summer). Demetria was given her own spinoff series after co-hosting the Telly Award-winning, 2022 season of talk show "Black Girl Stuff" on REVOLT.
For the past several years, she has worked on TV as a host and news/traffic anchor at NBC Kansas City; CBS Las Vegas and ABC Dallas where she captured global audiences with her empowering response to body shaming by a local viewer. Demetria solidified her presence in the sports world with the launch of Sporting News’ “Sporting 7 Podcast,” where she voiced/hosted over 100 episodes, interviewing some of the biggest sports stars in the business.
Last year, she launched “The Demetria Obilor Show” podcast, were she covers sports and pop culture, delivering forthright opinions on the hottest topics across social feeds. With a decade of on-air experience under her belt, Demetria has used her bold voice and platform to create sought-after content and viral moments. She is also known as #TrafficBae, a moniker that was given to her during her time as a traffic anchor.
Demetria has emceed live events for major nonprofits and organizations, including TEDx, SXSW, NABJ, NAACP, UNCF, Boys and Girls Club, colleges and more.
